To define target audience in my own terms would be; a certain group of people in which a product or service is aimed at, and the entire product has been worked upon to achieve the needs of this particular group. To establish your target audience you will look closely at a number of factors including age, gender, image and many more. Getting your target audience correct to match your product/service is essential to sell the product or service and to keep a constant demand, then eventually expanding your audience.

The genre of music I have chosen to use for my magazine is indie and indie pop. Indie fashion and style have strong links and both statements are individual and controversial, I would like my magazine to be bold and cause people to talk about the content. From changes in music and style throughout a period of 50 years, music has been combined and influenced by different genres from the 60's rock to 80's hip hop. For my magazine I would like look at new innovative music who are finding fame by going against the 'chart music' style of music, acts that are well known for unforgettable live performances and acts that have a strong style influence from high end fashion.
